There are a number of great walks around the village starting directly outside of the cottage. The steep path opposite the cottage is called the 'Llwybyr Llygoden' or 'Mouse's footpath' and leads down to the primary school. (Take a left at the bottom of the steps and then take a right after 40m.)
There is another walk along the river starting from the playpark – take a left facing the river for 'Y Graig' or 'Rocky' footpath to the Ferry Inn or a right for the path down the hill towards BV Rees car showroom. You could take the upper road to Poppit Sands – approx. 3 miles which gets a great view of Cardigan Island – Just walk up the hill from the cottage and keep going and you will eventually go over the headland and down into Poppit, arriving just by the car park. Call in to the Premier shop on the high street to get a local footpaths map printed by Llwybyr Llandudoch for approx. £2. (St Dogmaels Footpaths Society).

The route then descends to the Teifi Estuary, following the riverside path back to the village. Along the way, you'll pass historic sites, beautiful viewpoints, and may spot a variety of wildlife including seabirds and possibly dolphins in the bay.
This spectacular coastal walk follows the first section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from Poppit Sands to Cemaes Head.
